Preperation of your presentation
==Oral presentation==
Presentations are equipped with the following facilities:
Computer (Windows XP, Power Point 2003, Adobe Acrobat Reader)
Projection equipment (Data projector, overhead projector)
Screen
Wireless lavaliere microphone (for presenters)
Podium microphone (for chairpersons)
Laser pointer
All oral presenters are requested to check that the presentation file works as expected prior to presentation using the screen and projector facilities in the Presentation Check Room (Room No. 403, 4th floor).
The Organizing Committee strongly recommends the use of the computer provided in the conference hall for all oral presentations. Staff will load the presentation file onto the computer with a standard file name and presentation number. The presentation should be provided as a Microsoft Powerpoint (ppt) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file on either CD or USB flash memory. If this is impractical, please ask the staff in the Presentation Check Room to transfer the file using the available media readers and interfaces.
If it is absolutely necessary to use a private computer, two RGB sockets are available for connection to the data projector. However, due to time constraints in the TOCAT5 presentation time schedule, it is strongly recommended the presentation be loaded onto the computer provided in each conference hall to facilitate smooth progression between presentations. If using a private computer, please ask the session staff for assistance prior to the session (e.g., during lunch or coffee breaks) to check connectivity between the private computer and the projector, and to preview slides in order ensure that the turnover between presentations is as smooth as possible. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to provide additional time for individual presentations should technical difficulties be encountered.
An overhead projector (OHP) is also available for use in presentations. If use of the OHP is necessary, please inform session staff (wearing the TOCAT5 official polo shirt) in advance.
Please use the wireless lavaliere microphone and laser pointer provided.
The following three bell notifications will be made during each presentation.
Type of lecture | Time of ring (min) | ||

==Poster presentaion==
Size of the board: height 180 cm x width 180 cm.
The posters should be placed during the morning break of the allocated day and removed no later than 19:30 on the same day.
Poster session will be held in Room D. The conference staff will provide you with pins to stick your poster on the poster board.
You will find your poster code on the allocated board in Room D.
==Industrial Poster Presentation==
Industrial poster sessions are scheduled on Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th.
The presenters in Industrial Poster Sessions are requested to give a short
preview on the day of their poster presentation. The poster preview will be arranged
in sequential order of the poster number, e.g., PI-201, PI-202, ..... Only two minutes are allotted for each preview. The preview sessions will
be held in Room A and the poster sessions in Room D.
All short oral presenters can use only Over Head Camera (OHC) in their
presentations. Accordingly, they are requested to prepare their slides
on paper or OHP sheet. The presentation time is only two minutes. Please,
keep the time-limitation because we have a lot of presenters in the short
oral presentation session. Presenters will have the ring alarm during their
presentations. In such a case, please switch to the next speaker without
any delay. The presenters are requested to stand in line in numerical order
near a platform before the start of the short oral presentation session.
==Session Chairpersons==
The procedures we would like to follow for the session are as follows.
1. Please be present in the session room at least 10 min prior to the first presentation in order to check that all presenters in this session have loaded their presentation onto the computer provided. In some cases, presenters will use their own private computer, which will need to be connected to the projector in advance of their presentation.
2. Please ensure that both chairpersons are seated at the session chair desk for the duration of the session.
3. Please share the chair with the co-chairperson.
4. Prior to each presentation, please announce the presenter's name, affiliation, country of origin, and presentation title.
5. Two minutes prior to the end of each allocated presentation period, please make a gesture to the presenter to indicating that there are 2 min left.
6. Please indicate to the audience that those with questions for the presenter shall identify themselves before asking their question.
7. Please allow 1 min for preparation of the next presentation.
8. If behind schedule, please adjust the length of the lunch or coffee break such that the subsequent session will begin on time.
