THE INVITATION
The Catalysis Society of Japan
cordially invites all scientists and engineers in the field of
selective catalysis and related science and technology to participate
in the International Symposium on Creation and Control of Advanced
Selective Catalysis (a Pre-Symposium of 14th International Congress on
Catalysis (ICC 14)) as the celebration of 50th anniversary of the
foundation of the Society. The meeting will be held in the “Kyoto
University Clock Tower Centennial Hall” on July 8-12, 2008 (July 12 for
optional sightseeing), in a Japanese memorial city, Kyoto. There
are many flights everyday from Kansai Airport near Kyoto to Incheon
Airport, Seoul, which will take only 2.5 h.
The purpose of the Symposium is to
discuss the results of recent developments and the future prospect in
Creation and Control of Advanced Selective Catalysis. The five
topics included in the Symposium are the key issues and materials to
solve the increasing scientific and technological demands in the fields
closely related to the Symposium title. The Symposium is
structured to encourage interactions and to stimulate the exchange of
ideas to accomplish the above purpose.
The Organizing Committee will also make
plans for social events in a Japanese memorial city, Kyoto.
We look forward to welcoming you in
Kyoto, 2008.
Best regards,
Prof. Yasuhiro Iwasawa
Chairman of the Organizing Committee
